Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Alpha Med Lab Ltd, including private blood sample collection, blood testing, health packages, clinic appointments and home visits.

By booking or purchasing a service from Alpha Med Lab Ltd, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

About Alpha Med Lab

Alpha Med Lab Ltd provides private blood sample collection services and facilitates laboratory testing through external laboratory partners.

Where laboratory analysis is required, samples are transported to the appropriate laboratory for testing.

Alpha Med Lab Ltd does not provide emergency medical services.

Our Services

Our services may include:

  • Clinic-based blood sample collection
  • Home-visit blood sample collection
  • Individual blood tests
  • Health screening packages
  • Sample preparation and transportation
  • Laboratory testing arranged through laboratory partners
  • Provision of laboratory reports/results

The exact tests included in each health package are described on the relevant package page.

Test availability, sample requirements, turnaround times and prices may change where necessary.

Appointments

Appointments must normally be booked in advance.

When booking, you are responsible for providing accurate information, including your:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Contact details
  • Relevant appointment information
  • Home-visit address where applicable
  • Information reasonably required for the requested laboratory testing

Please notify us as soon as possible if any information provided during booking is incorrect.

Test Preparation

Certain blood tests may require specific preparation, such as fasting, medication-related instructions or collection at a particular time of day.

Where preparation is required, appropriate instructions will be provided or confirmed before your appointment where reasonably practicable.

You are responsible for following the preparation instructions provided.

Failure to follow preparation requirements may affect the suitability of the sample or interpretation of the test result and may require repeat collection.

Do not stop or change prescribed medication solely for a blood test unless appropriately advised by a qualified healthcare professional.

Blood Sample Collection

Blood collection will be undertaken using appropriate procedures by a suitably trained healthcare professional.

Although blood collection is routinely performed, temporary discomfort, bruising, bleeding, swelling, dizziness or fainting can occasionally occur.

Please inform the person collecting your sample if you have previously experienced difficulties with blood collection, fainting or other relevant issues.

In some circumstances, collection may be unsuccessful or a repeat sample may be required.

Laboratory Testing

Samples requiring laboratory analysis will be sent to an appropriate laboratory partner.

Laboratory testing is performed independently by the laboratory responsible for the analysis.

Occasionally a laboratory may be unable to produce a result because of factors such as insufficient sample volume, clotting, haemolysis, sample deterioration, analytical limitations or other technical issues.

Where a repeat sample is required, Alpha Med Lab will advise you about the available next steps.

Results and Turnaround Times

Any turnaround time provided is an estimate rather than a guarantee unless expressly stated otherwise.

Turnaround times can vary according to the test requested, laboratory workload, sample requirements, repeat analysis and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Results will be provided using an appropriate secure method once available.

Understanding Your Results

Laboratory results should be interpreted in the context of your individual circumstances.

Alpha Med Lab's blood testing service is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or consultation with an appropriately qualified medical practitioner.

Where a result requires medical interpretation, further investigation or treatment, you should consult your GP or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

If you are seriously unwell or require urgent medical attention, you should use the appropriate NHS urgent or emergency service rather than relying on private blood testing.

Home Visits

Home blood collection appointments are subject to location, travel time and availability.

Our regular home-visit coverage includes Central London, with appointments in other London areas available depending on scheduling and location.

You must provide an accurate collection address and appropriate access information.

We may contact you before the appointment to confirm the location and arrangements.

Additional home-visit or travel charges may apply depending on location. Any applicable charge should be communicated during the booking process or before the appointment is confirmed.

Prices and Payment

Prices displayed on our website or booking system apply at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

The total cost may consist of:

Laboratory test/health package price + applicable sample collection or home-visit fee.

Where additional testing or services are requested, additional charges may apply.

Any applicable charges should be communicated before the additional service is provided.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.

For standard appointments, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice.

Late cancellations, missed appointments or failure to attend may result in the collection/appointment fee being non-refundable or a reasonable cancellation charge being applied where this was disclosed before booking.

Where laboratory testing or another service has already commenced, associated costs may not be refundable.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory consumer rights that apply to you.

Late Arrival

Please arrive at the agreed time for clinic appointments and be available at the agreed location for home visits.

Significant delays may mean that the appointment has to be shortened, rescheduled or cancelled where completing the appointment would affect subsequent patients or sample-transport requirements.

Cancellation by Alpha Med Lab

Occasionally, Alpha Med Lab may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment because of circumstances such as staff availability, transport disruption, laboratory requirements or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and offer an alternative arrangement or an appropriate refund where applicable.

Refunds

Eligibility for a refund depends on the circumstances and whether any part of the service has already been provided or costs have already been incurred.

Where laboratory analysis has already commenced, laboratory charges may not be recoverable.

Any refund due will normally be returned using the original payment method where practicable.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

When using our services, you agree to:
